First you work for grades, then you work for cash kid!

Plus it’s easy for them. I think it’s fun to go through my 8 year old’s homework because it makes me feel “smart” (ish).

Am I smarter than a 5th grader? No, because I have the mentality of a 5th grader and wanna stay that way. Michael will catch up to me in 3 more years. (Assuming at 7 he’s in the 2nd grade).

Wait till he doesn’t get summers off or a winter break to amount to anything… or gets a job where he has to work weekends and holidays… aaaah, my parents tried those same lines on me, and they didn’t sink in with me either… till I was an adult myself.

Parents just have to help YOU with your homework. Thus, when you’re older, you’ll want to be able to help YOUR kids Robin and Marie with their homework.

Aaron – in Ontario (and most of Canada) if your birthday falls between June and December, you’d be in grade one at age 6. If it falls between Jan and June, you’d be 7 in grade 1. It’s strange how it works.

Michael had better get used to homework added on to his in school career. He has YEARS of it left to do!

Hard to imagine, seeing him here at 7 —

but equally hard with my own niece and nephew, who have kids around the ages of Michael and Liz here, when I still picture THEM that age.
