Because it’s not unlike passing a kidney stone .. it’s much better after-the-fact

Annie, in 18 years you’ll be “I wish you’d stay young, just one more year. Don’t go out of state to a college.!”

So true. I never enjoyed the baby stage. If I could have given birth to an 18 month old, I would have.

Well Anne, it’s like the military. While in battle the focus is to survive; after the war it’s stories at the Moose and VFW.

That’s pretty ironic . . . Elly telling Anne to enjoy the baby stage while she can because it goes by so quickly. This coming from a woman that just put her toddler in daycare several days a week so that she can go work at a job outside her home for no pay!!!

Enjoy them while they’re little. You’ll have your headaches when they’re teenagers.

The good ol’ days always look better retrospectively than when you’re actually living them.

My daughter has a 6 month old and she’s begrudged and enjoyed each stage of development in equal parts. I’m pretty sure that she would happily have kept him as a near-newborn though.
