I like fall, because the biggest ‘up’ comes right after – Remembrance Day, than Winter and Christmas. I don’t like Spring much, because it leads to the icky heat of summer. :(..Morning Neighbours! Have a wonderful day.
I don’t mind the raking of all our leaves in the Fall (as they’re usually completely off the trees by the time really cold weather rolls around) nearly as much as I mind having to constantly rake all the leaves that fall off our neighbor’s huge Pin Oak tree into our back yard all throughout the winter and into the next Spring! :-(
I have 3 trees in my front yard, of the maple leaf family – kind with those spikey seed balls … the middle tree sheds first, then the north tree, then the south tree – in that order, every year. Never all together. My lawn gets so covered, I can rake and mow and in 1 hour, it looks like I didn’t do anything. Yes, they’re beautiful, just tiring. I call them “San Diego Snow” since we don’t get the slushy variety on the West Coast in Fall and Winter.

I find it hard to enjoy fall because I know what comes next – it’s all about life’s ups and downs, Michael!

For some folks, every silver lining has a cloud. This can get old pretty quickly.

I miss the days of people actually raking. The constant blowers drive me batty.

I love the fall, but I don’t have the same enthusiasm for winter as I used to.

Hey Michael, can’t you and Lawrence rake up great big piles of leaves and then jump in them repeatedly? You’ll get filthy dirty, but it’s great fun.
