What is Ted up to? Not reporting bodies…?

Anybody who wears a fanny pack deserves to get robbed just for having a complete lack of taste.

Big mistake, Ted! Not reporting this (to the police) is a dumb move, and it’s bound to get you into deeper trouble down the line!

Rad. Just rad.

Weird. Did he have that tip about the bombers because he was in cahoots with them?

Uhm.

Apparently they wear a LOT of fanny packs down at the railroad.

I’m assuming both of the bodies are in the front seat, as the first panel shows an arm hanging out of the passenger side and Wolfman is shown in the drivers seat. If Gloria was going to detonate the truck to look like a suicide bomb, she had better do it before Ted gets away. If he escapes, it’ll be obvious that it is a double murder.

So is Tellum going to call in Tracy? I’d expect Tellum to use this as the basis for a whole week of radio rants.

Late start today… good afternoon everyone.I surely won’t want to be late for tomorrow’s strip to find out what Tellum is up to!

Now how many days ago were these guys murdered – they must get getting a little ’Ripe" by now.

Now, WHY did they switch to landscape format? I’ve been printing out the Sunday page for several months, and the portrait format fit perfectly on 8 1/2 × 11 paper. Now, this way, the panels are smaller and detail is lost. Please, Go Comics people, unless there is some really good reason for this change, go back to the portrait format!

This strip has been going all over the place with very very little glue holding the story together. No build up to a plot. Old characters showing up for a few strips then disappearing again. NO connections at all. So called story lines ending abruptly before they have a chance to build up. Gould would be furious at what has happened to his old strip. The current writers need to go back and read the first few decades of Tracy and see how it’s done.

In comic strips, you can’t go by “real time”. Sometimes, several days of strips might be just a few minutes, or perhaps a couple of hours, and other times, two days of strips could be the passage of a week, if so indicated by the wording in the strip itself. For that reason, it was always fun to watch Chester Gould try to keep up with the seasons, because he would remove Tracy’s trenchcoat during the strips that ran in the summer months, even if the preceeding story had started in the middle of winter. Part of the fun of reading a daily comic strip!

Hey Jim, ever get a chance to talk to this guy? I like him so much, I also am posting this one.

I’ve never used a fanny pack, but when in a big city, I carry a dummy wallet (worn out one, stuffed with paper) in right hip pocket. If it comes up missing, I know to be careful with the real one.

I’m really enjoying Joe Staton and Mike Curtis’s work on the Dick Tracy Strip!
