The Sunday strip was so small that even with the magnifier I thought the brown lump in front of the log was a gopher that had popped its head out of the ground.
In fact I thought the point was that Bradley was looking into the log when the animal was already outside, watching him.

I would leave the poor little fox alone, and keep Bradley from there too. There are better activities for your pet than harassing the native species.
