When i was a teenager, I sometimes had TV dinners when the family was out (I stayed home for a summer job). I remember reading the directions and they use to include how to arrange the food on a dinner plate if you were serving guests. I use to wonder who would invite someone to dinner and try to pass a TV dinner for a home cooked meal? That was of course before I met the Pennys. I see they have their tables set. Amazing how they cooked the food and everyone has the same portions. Of course if you want more potatoes you have to have more corn and Salisbury steak and the brownie that is a strange triangular shape.
BTW: You will have to tell me some of the commands to and spacing to your comments and changing the type for bold Italic, etc. I tried doing an Alt-I for italics and that didn’t work.
`YES….. I noticed the green blouse with orange flowers is back…… after another stay under the bed no doubt ….. Part of JOY"S vast “Rince and Wear” collection……..
Yep—they’re HTML tags.< b > < / b >< i > < / i >Not sure what all tags GoComics supports, but these are bold and itallic—just take out the spaces in between each character. Had to add spaces, otherwise, they wouldn’t show up, I’m sure.
My mother hated cooking, but somehow decided to make Thangsgiving dinner (and I ate, but was not there to cook and I know there were at least some cousins there, because I have a clear memory of my older cousin Bruce saying “It’s not bad Aunt Dottie, I like the cunchy peas”. She did Swanson’s Turkey and burnt them… Maybe I was in 6th grade because I took over the cooking when in 7th grade.
When I was a young teenager we got tv dinners when my parents went out, which was rare.
We thought of it as a treat, because we never saw them otherwise, they were kinda cute, and companies hadn’t figured out yet how to make a pile of assorted colors, soy and chemicals into something that looks almost like food.
And I’ve been wondering-no comments on the sofa sign – people like the pennys often filch things from the places they stay, but how did they manage that (and why?)

Watch Americas funniest videos.Nothing like seeing guys get hit in the crotch, while you’re eating.

Marg, you’re probably right —
Do you think cos it’s a special occasion, maybe they got the real Swanson’s Hungry Man dinners, instead of the 99 cent Banquet ones?
Nah.
I think I found it, but I’m not sure.
Meanwhile, a big Crustwood g’mornin’ to you, and OddBall, and all the rest of you wandering in….
OddBall, I hate that show, but I’d still claim a seat facing the TV.
Anything to keep from having to watch Burl stuff it down.
RayC thanks from yesterday… I answered you then, and some others, too…
And GymShoe, look!! She rinsed your favorite blouse to wear for their company!!!
Don’t you wish you were invited?
Hey — maybe this is the dinner Leaky was invited to, and he’ll show up in the strip later…..
Check back here about 6pm CDT, when the guests are assembled.

It would depend on how loud the dinner music is.

I’d be more comfortable with the TV on while eating at the Penny’s!

Let’s try this—bold.

I have to try that, if find it is where I think, one line is too light.

Thanks, Sardonis – it works!

On this site, for some reason, you can just put asterisks touching each side of a word or phrase to make it bold. Don’t leave a space.
You do need the HTML tag for italic.
line breaks are made with br inside angle brackets at the beginning.
BTW I’ve answered before about formatting but the problem is nobody comes back to read it by the time I get to post.

Must be a big time soiree; looks like the “good” plastic wine goblets are out.
