My Friend P. White was in the South Tower. She refused the security guards instructions to go on upstairs and ran down instead. She escaped certain death and was only a few blocks away when the first tower fell.
Today’s strip brought tears to my eyes.I lived about 50 miles from the city, along the CT shore on Long Island Sound. We were on the flight paths of JFK and a local airport, so planes were as much a part of the sky as the clouds and birds. But that day nothing flew. The whole world seemed to be holding it’s breath. The silence was only broken once – by three Blackhawk helicopters, flying full speed, as they passed overhead toward the city.
You’d think ALL of the 9-11 strips would have been dedicated to the memory. I haven’t been able to find any others, except BC. Wiley writes a pretty somber poem.
To think the people who did this, did it in the name of God! God!!! But not the true God as they think, the true God is the God of Israel! Islum is a cult founded by a man who took little girls for wives! A curse on the Muslum religion!
Mr. Staton, Mr. Curtis, out of all the tribute strips today, yours was the only one that really hit me in the heart. Great strip, out of a lot of great strips today.
Mike, Person, and Vista,.I very much appreciate the compliments, but I will say, thank you, Fire Marshal Bucca, and all the other firefighters and cops, those who died and those who survived..You gave the whole world an example of courage and self-sacrifice that is still awe-inspiring a decade later..The monsters who committed this act may have believed they were acting in the name of God (and, as an aside, the God of Mohammed IS the God of Abraham and the God of Jesus; Islam, like Judaism and Christianity, is one of the three Abrahamic faiths), but the true Spirit of God was in the heart of every firefighter and and every cop who rushed into those buildings to help those who needed help.
Actually, Biblical Christianity teaches that Jesus Christ IS God, eternally One with the Father and Holy Spirit. We don’t totally understand it, but it is spelled out quite clearly in the Bible. Muslim teaching is that Jesus was a mere prophet of lesser importance than Mohammed You cannot try to blend the two teachings; they are mutually exclusive. Biblical Christianity further teaches that all people everywhere need the saving work of Christ i love Muslims,Jews and everybody else, and pray that they will come to know the Wonderful Savior, Jesus Christ. Thank you..

Forgot to say yesterday Shane, Shelly, Mike and Joe; not only is this moving, the artwork is just gorgeous despite the subject matter. I cannot believe the difference even less than a year makes in the life of a strip like this. Keep up all the great work.
