    According to Wikipedia:

For someone seated, the buttock popliteal length is the horizontal distance from the rearmost part of the buttocks to the back of the lower leg. This anthropometric measurement is used to determine seat depth. Mass produced chairs typically use a depth of 38 to 43 cm (15 to 16 inches)

I forgot to add that the buttocks need to be uncompressed during the measurement. (Okay! I just wanted to use the word uncompressed!)

Regarding “IT’S MOVING TOO FAST! WHO DO YOU SEE?” on the blog, that animated gif is the perfect illustration of the identity-disguising suit worn by Bob Arctor in the Philip K. Dick novel, “A Scanner Darkly.”I’d never been quite able to visualize how the suit would have worked, and I feel the film adaptation got it wrong. That gif on the blog, however, perfectly conveys the effect that such a suit would have on somebody viewing it.

If you strip away the evangelical nonsense, the pastor makes a good point. It reminds me of the following story:

An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life. “A fight is going on inside me,” he said to the boy.

“It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil – he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.” He continued, “The other is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you – and inside every other person, too.”

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?”

The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”

Netlore being what it is, I have questions about whether this is a native American story at all… but I like the point.
