    Rub it rapidly on the sheet or blanket. Easier to track the temperature increase.

    I did this once – put the bulb on the lightbulb. Didn’t know how to read a thermometer then. My temp was 107. Guess who went to school?

    My mom used to come in and put her hand on my forehead to see how warm I was. I guess that told her something. ( ?? ) I learned if I wanted a day off school to moan that I wasn’t feeling good and rub the blanket back and forth across my forehead to heat it up. But just like this kid, I had to be careful to not get it so hot she thought I was dying or something.

    when i had a fever, my father had his test…. he would pour a pitcher of ice water on me while i was in bed, and if i got up out of bed, i went to school….i went to school with a fever many times……..
