After ten years of tax break after tax break after tax break, if tax breaks created jobs and boosted the economy, we’d all be rolling in cash. Doesn’t work, because those tax breaks aren’t being reinvested- they’re being pocketed.
Tax increases can stimulate the economy…if they are used to balance the budget. That’s what happened during the Clinton administration. Businesses decided that the government was being competent. They spent pant loads and the economy took off! Business want a competent government. They don’t worry about taxes much, because the pass them along to us as a cost of doing business….
ok, the majority here agrees that that idiot policy of showering the rich folks with gobs of tax breaks and cuts will create jobs hasn’t worked after years of trying it.how the hell can it be that the repubs are still selling it and it appears that the downtrodden are still believing it

This is why I’m in favor of granting Texas’ wish that they be allowed to secede. Let Perry be the President of Texas, we’ll see how long they last.

Also, the safest way to drive a car is to aim for a tree at 80 MPH and hope it jumps out of the way.

Hopefully Perry’s prayer for jobs will be more effective than his prayer for rain…
