Bit of a stretch on the “government interference”. . . But right on about the subsidies!

actually, it’s called GREED. not all of the OPEC nations are in the Moslem world, and most of the oil companies are based in the western world (USA, Europe, etc.)

This is a funny strip, but misleading. http://www.americanthinker.com/2011/05/about_those_oil_subsidies.html

The comments in Non Sequiter became overwhelming but I felt a need to weigh in. As it was also discussing religion I decided to post here. I also am opposed to organized religion especially for myself and that does not mean I am an atheist -not at all because that is irrational. In my youth I tried many religions (even lack of one) and finally had myself baptized at the age of 18, but left that church when I felt they looked down on me after divorcing an abusive man (they would have approved if I had an annulment – making my 4 children . . . illegitimate? I don’t need that community because I belong to a large group where we share interests other than religion, and I prefer to pray outdoors in my garden or pool.

Reminds me of a scene in Network, where one guy tells another that there is no America, just a bunch of corporations.
