Petey: Alice? What are you doing in my room? Alice: I've been lying here looking at Little Neuro comics all afternoon. Petey: You have? Aren't they great?! Alice: No, they're boring. Petey: They might be a little boring at first, but after about twelve hours of staring at Little Neuro you'll have a breakthrough! Then suddenly your third eye opens and you can see for miles inside of your own head! And you notice that Little Neuro has a whole universe in every panel! Alice: Twelve hours?! That's like a year almost! I've got stuff to do! Petey: But - Alice: I'm a busy person with no time for nonsense! Dill: This third eye - is it up Petey's nose or on his stomach or what?

If 12 hours is “a year almost”, how much time is “all afternoon”? Less than five minutes?

I think Alice shoud just be her self on Halloween…that’s scarey enough.

I couldn’t help but notice the corn popper Alice is pushing—my girls had one, and played with it non-stop. By the way, they are indestructible—I know

Love the first panel where Alice is mimicking Peter’s usual lying-on-the-bed posture. And, she says just the right thing to keep Peter from being angry.

Alice is indoctrinated be whom? “I’m a busy person with no time for nonsense” – she’ll wind up as a CEO somewhere.

His third eye is on the middle of Petey’s forehead.

I’d think Alice would love a third eye.

I love the third eye reference! I have a Richard Thompson 3rd eye pinned to the wall above my desk. It’s “13 – Use your third eye”, from his “Drawing a Funny Cartoon in 20 Easy Steps”. (Yes, the other inspiring steps are all up there as well – framed, and in order.)

I’m totally Petey in this one… Nothing makes you happier then seeing your younger siblings take an interest in your own favorite things!
