Even if it was corny it made me smile Claire. Yeah fall! (We’ve already had 2 inches of snow) More fall please.

We have a few days of delightful cool weather here in Phoenix, then some more of the 90s. The nights are mostly predicted to stay fairly low, so I’ll be trying to keep the AC off ;-)

My favorite Autumn song:In autumn when the leaves turn and the apples start to fallAnd you pick so much squash you can never use it all;Pumpkins grin from windowsills and kids in costume dressedOh, Autumn is the season that I really like the best. The colors are so brilliant on the air and on the groundAnd your breath forms a cloud every time you make a sound;A sweatshirt keeps you warm with perhaps a goose-down vestOh, Autumn is the season that I really like the best.Your energy increases as the North Wind blows your way So you race around from sunrise until sunset ends the day;Yet every ray of sunshine makes you feel that you are blessedOh, Autumn is the season that I really like the best. The Winter can be lovely when it’s covered up with snowAnd the Spring renews your hope when the plants begin to grow; The summer heat can heal you but the fall it gives you zestOh, Autumn is the season that I really like the best. It’s by the Short Sisters, and it appears on their CD A Planet Turning Slow. Another nice track on the same album is “More Wood”.

Those don’t quite rhyme…here’s how I solved it:To find a rhyme for silveror any “rhymeless” rhymerequires only will, ver-bosity and time So now go seek a more ang-elic shade of orange.

“When the frost is on the punkins and the fodder’s in the shock.” Homage to James Whitcomb Riley, poet laureate of Indiana.
