Well at least he didn’t get a natural gas pipe line leak out of it.

That’s it, Alice—Madame Pele for Halloween!

I got a volcano just outside my window. Erupts ash 10-15 times a day now, and when the wind blows west it’s like being in a Texas dust storm. All Alice needs to do is cover herself in black-colored lufas and throw dirt at everyone.

Where is Dill always going with that grocery cart?Marcus seems pretty level-headed, but I dare say the concept of “volcano-starting” would likely throw him for an [Otter]loop.

After coming back here and really looking at the panels this time, I have to say “THE ARTWORK ROCKS!” I love the unfolding sidewalk across the panels and the way the characters approach us across the stage. Great work, Richard!

re three steps: richard likes to do that. this is at least the second or third time i’ve seen him bend the strip across one scene. i can’t think of any other cartoonist who does this. comments?

    Vidazzle:

Resonding from yesterday. I got into this strip after Stephan Pastis gave Cul de Sac a great plug on his own Pearls Before Swine strip. That was classy of him. He usually like to skewer other strips (esp. Family Circus!).

Nice angle with the hill and kids. It is a nice touch to show how the hill line is consistent between all 4 frames.

Maybe not as dramatic as a volcano, but certainly a water main break would create lasting memories for this bunch.

Hey at least Dill’s brothers missed the septic tank! Alice should definitely go as a volcano!

That kid with the glasses must be related to Beaker from the Muppets. And what’s up with Dill goin’ shopping? The kid’ll eat anything, no need for a store. Maybe collecting wild mushrooms.

Alice should go as herself-a clown.

Sorry about the late reply. Thanks for the complement. No newsletter, but there is a blog. Just google my name, no spaces.
