Transcript:
Jack: Is the boy - you! Rip: Yes, me! Trapped here by the grenade bros. It's over! I've given the boy his medicine, River Jack - so howzabout you and me step outside and settle this like an angry tea party mob! Jack: Tsk. Tsk. - Take the grenades off of the men and put them on Haywire and the boy! Kid: Sua maldade nao conhece fronteiras! Rip: I don't know what you said, kid, but you said it!

According to babelfish: Its badness does not know borders.I presume the meaning to be that River Jack’s evil knows no bounds. Maybe I should learn Portuguese…

Yah!!! According to amazon I should receive the Rip Haywire graphic novel by Saturday!!! This will make up for the lack of a Sunday strip. (At least for this week.)

Ouch! Thanks for the stab in the back, Thompson. Do you mean they are going to go outside and sit in lawn chairs hold the flag and sing the national anthem? Then leave the place cleaner then when they arrived? Rip would do better imitating a “peaceful” “tolerant” occupy wall streeter smashing and damaging anything in their path.

Google translate says: Their evil knows no bounds.

Google translate is far superior to Babel fish. The word that tends to confuse both translators is “Sua” which is similar to “Su” in Spanish. It can mean “his”, “their” or a polite form of “your” depending on the context.

Some people here are as touchy as Oprah is about fat jokes. (I’m trying to learn Ripspeak.)
And of course Tea Party members have never shouted down speakers or disrupted meetings. Never.

@Dan ThompsonYou tread on dangerous ground whenever you speak publicly of sex, politics or religion. And folks DO take it seriously. Al Capp said something to the effect of ‘Every drawing of a dog is taken as a comment on the condition of dogs everywhere.’ (At least that’s how I remember that quote. Don’t quote me on that.)

I suggest we all gloss over the trendy political quips and just get back to the funny adventure already!

On the positive side, watch this RIP HAYWIRE installment become one of the most talked-about on GoComics, They say there’s no such thing as bad publicity! :-) Anyway, Team Bartilucci still loves ya, Dan! :-)

Don’t worry, Dan. You obviously meant no insult. This is just Rip Haywire talking like Rip Haywire. I, myself, am no expert on having such a way with words. I might have said “settle this like sharks on a lunch break”, or something not quite as amusing. Now, let’s focus on something a little more important…like figuring out how to say the State Farm Jingle in Portguguese!

Dragoncat, I agree wholeheartedly with your witty, wise reply!

I personally just like seeing what the cute flat butt Rip can get in and how he get’s out of the messes he seems to find. Plus it is pure tickle my funny fun bone to read.

Rip Haywire is THE Best ACTION Strip since Steve Canyon, and Wonder Woman and Terry and the Pirates!!

My point exactly. And – unlike a few other groups that get positive press – no arrests were involved.

“Sua maldade não conhece fronteiras.” = “Your evil knows no bounds”.
