@Tom Obama’s job should be easy – just ask for the opposite of whatever he wants. At least you realize that the real culprits are congress, and while the president can do a lot of damage with executive orders, congress controls the purse strings (the debt is their fault, not Bush, not Obama) and the laws.“Rich” these days means “people with jobs”. The Democrats have slowly moved over the decades from advocating for the poor, to attacking the rich while creating as many poor as possible to get elected. We’ll all be very very sorry when the “rich” are finally eliminated.

So how would you explain the lack of bipartisan cooperation coming from the democrat dominated Senate? I guess that is the Republican’s fault, too.

Yes, the legislative branch appropiates the money and makes the laws. But, it’s executive branch that spends the lion’s share of the money to run the government programs and departments.

If you think the government is spending too much, then it’s up to the legislative branch to reduce the amount of the executive gets to spend.
