Caulfield: Mrs. Olsen, can I do homework from other classes during quiet study hour? Mrs. Olsen: Yes. That's what it's for. Frazz: But not homework from gym class. Caulfield: I gave her a chance to be specific.
BTW, that looks like a volleyball to me. Nerf balls don’t have those markings. As a teacher, I should point out that NO distractions are allowed during quiet study time. Movements can be distractions…sit down Caufield…..

Hey look! Mrs Olsen’s eyes! Have we ever seen them before? (And where did her glasses go?)

At some point someone will put together a compilation of all panels featuring Mrs. Olsen’s Detachable Bun. Great gag.

But her glasses are cat eye glasses, and her eyes are big and round in that third panel… did her glasses change shape as well as her bun detach?
Varnes about 13 years ago
Yeah, the popping bun thing is probably unique to Mallet. It’s a great variation on a grand tradition….

Her bugging eyes probably pushed her glasses off her face.
