I’m trying to ID the make and model of that station wagon. I really have no clue, but my gut level feeling is that it’s from a European arm of an American carmaker; maybe an Opel or a Vauxhall or something? I will be mightily impressed if anybody can come up with a positive ID.
Bigfoot and Wild Boy are so amazingly bad, I love it! Thanks for putting it on your blog. Oddly enough, no one I know remembers this show….. I wonder why. This is my new favorite show!
aha – if needed, you can try going to www.translit.ru and type what you want using your regular latin characters and automatically get the cyrillic characters for the same sound.
Louise Allbritton. A perfect Frogblog choice for Halloween. She played Katherine “Kay” Caldwell in 1943’s “Son of Dracula.” Thirty years before Anne Rice, Kay was a Louisiana plantation owner who summoned a vampire and became one of the undead. She outsmarted Lon Chaney Junior’s vampire and almost got her fiance to join her as a vampire. The film has atmosphere and some subtle comedy, and Allbritton made a very good vampire.
The film has weaknesses, of course. The black characters are minor and sometimes, well, awkward. It takes place in 1943, which makes you wonder how everyone can deal so freely with the Axis nation of Hungary. Look quickly at the cars and you may spot an A sticker in a windshield’s lower right corner. Chaney’s character is about as charismatic as a tired bank manager, but that makes his folly credible.

For that sort of ear wax treatment, you must use a long, thick wick. Gives whole new meaning to the phrase, “Stick it in your ear!”
