Red and Rover by Brian Basset for October 29, 2011
Transcript:
Martin: Take it back! Red: OK, OK. It was a mistake to be you for Halloween. Martin: Double take it back! Red: OK, OK. I double take it back. I can't believe I made such a serious error in judgement. People never give out as much candy to teenagers as they do to cute little ghouls and goblins.

Especially cute little ghouls and goblins with fur coats—stick with Rover, Red, and you’ll both score lots of treats!

So that still leaves you the problem of deciding who or what you want to be. You better come up with something fast.

I had a brother 5 years older than I was—-our arguments were just as one sided as Red’s. I always ended ou as pictured by Brian Basset.

Your brother is really strict Red!

As I said yesterday, I’m disappointed in Rover. Not only he did not lead Red to safety, but he is just sitting there watching how Red gets physically assaulted by Martin.

On the other hand, I’m with Martin on this one. What Red said was impolite and hurtful. Sometimes it’s necessary to be a little diplomatic (or hypocritical if you want), and Red simply wasn’t.
