Somebody’s gonna make this political, I just know it. Hey, Rat must have an extremely bendy nose, I realized.

I see no way to make it political in a direct reference to the strip.

Wow! Just imagining Rat’s ears and snout in the cup is amusing!

He got coffee in rat’s beer…

I’m getting the feeling that all these characters are just different voices in Pastis’ head. I’m talking about the type of voices that require the nice men in white coats.

it’s ego… the ears, nose… inflated.Stephan merely blew out Rat’s ego and adjusted his head to fit perfectly.

Cartoon-Pastis takes the “spilled coffee” trope to glorious new heights! For once, Rat has gone too far and has reaped his just reward.

Rat… you deserve that coffee cup crown. Way to go Mr. Pastis, show that Rat whos holding the drawing pencil.

If that strip went one more frame, we’d see Rat’s head compact and shaped like a cylinder like Tom & Jerry and other Looney Tunes cartoons where the character always takes the shape of whatever he’s struck with. :)

Ah! An obscure criticism. It reminds me of Melvin Udall’s (Jack Nicholson) complement in “As Good as It Gets”: “You make me want to take my medications”—in the sense that she makes him want to be a better person.++++Of course, Rat would never give a compliment.

About time somebody mugged Rat.
