So true. My company just moved me into a new building, and now my boss only checks on my progress about once every other week. My productivity has skyrocketed.
I am a supervisor, and when I am not in the office half of the workers keep getting their work done and the other half don’t. I always find out what didn’t get done when I get calls/e-mails from customers asking about status. Luckily for me both of the slackers left last week. One found a job making $2 more an hour and the other one moved out of state. Now I hope that I get a couple new people that will be good workers.
