They're a bit overwhelmed! Janis: But they're excited! Gus is having electricians go over it soon. Gene said he has a lot to learn!... Arlo: When did you talk with Gene? Janis: i didn't! He sent me a text.

I’m surprised Arlo and Janis aren’t texting this whole conversation. Talking is so 90’s.

I figured Janis got all the scope from May Lou- it’s the women folk that keep the information flowing in most families.

Texting still doesn’t appeal to me…..

But not to spell.

The joke I saw was that Janis got all this information from one text with a limit of 160 characters.

Text haters, it has its uses. For anything significant, it’s like email without the nuance and emotional clues. And since emoticons and abbreviations like LOL caught on because email (and other all text talk) laced that to begin with, yeah I can see why you might not like it.I don’t text with my thumbs. I can hold my phone between my thumbs and ‘the finger’ fingers and type with my index fingers. For me, it’s faster and more accurate (because the finger’s smaller than the thumb so less likely to hit the wrong thing)

You nail me and my husband almost everyday in quite funny ways. Wish that I could share it on facebook. Your function only links it to the web-page without actually showing that days cartoon. Doesn’t do much to widen your fan base.

I think the joke is that Gene probably sent a short text but Janis gleaned all of this info from it.

Next on the market voice recognition created text.
It is like email that the intended can read at their convience, and safer if they are driving.

“Overwhelmed” is how I felt when I moved all my boxes into the dorm room in grad school. But after dealing with them one at a time, it wasn’t so bad.

Oh if only, zedman2222. It’s a shorthand typeing… much like Orwell’s “thinkspeak”

How are the kids going to afford refurbing this house if they’re spending money on texts?
