Barkeater Lake by Corey Pandolph for October 30, 2011
Transcript:
Allen: Post Office Pharmacy... Allen: Yes, Hello, Mrs. Harrington... No, Ma'am, I've told you before, you need to go visit a doctor and get a prescription. Allen: Nooo... I'm afraid I can't just 'slip' you a little something. Allen: Uh, no... The fact that you changed my diapers as a child will not sway me...

“Mrs. Harrington” is obviously addicted to prescription medications. Sad.

it is, however the reason I left my 1st job as a nurse in my small hometown hospital. Too many of my patients commented that they had changed my diapers. Hard to give enemas and other intrusive procedures after those comments!

So we can’t even get updated reruns now?
Vaporman about 13 years ago
Ye gods, here we go again with Pandolf. The last two reruns stuttered to a stop in the middle of a good storyline. I guess it’s appropriate that this one ends with the pharmacist denying duplicate meds. Corey, take some time off, get your head on straight. Spend some time in a small town or something. You’re a talented cartoonist, but this stuff is “not attractive…”

I’m not sure if Cory is ill, lazy, or a sadist. This is the umpteenth time he’s done this with Barkeater and with TOBY.Please either put the strips and the readers out of of their misery or produce something consistently.

Give Corey a break. There was a time when cartoonists of his caliber made a decent living. I am sure that doing this for pennies is a labor of love. As any of you know, hobbies done everyday or on a relentless schedule quickly can turn into a real grind. How many of you can give up that much of your life for strangers? with the strangest always complaining?

Well, if he knows, why are they now not running? Seriously, if you dont’ want to run them, pull the plug. Not that hard to do I wouldn’t think. Or hit upload once a day – also shouldn’t be that hard to do.
