Dr: We've discussed her approximate height and weight...
Abby: Yes, doctor.
Dr: And you've given me a briefing on her general health...
Abby: Uh-huh.
Dr: But we're now at the point where I have to actually examine Mimi!
If it was Clem, it would have been funnier. I don’t think Mimi would have that much problem with a Dr, but Clem, he seems a lil scared of everything (hence, why he hogs things.)
“provider”. noone gets to see a Dr anymore—you essentially get a crap-shoot from CNA to RN and really don’t know what you have, and they get offended if you ask. in military clinics you can at least read the color devices and figure: LT, NC (you got a RN), LCDR, MC (an MD).
No but he could be an independent duty tech, which is just as good as a MD when you need something sewn up in a hurry!
And I doubt anyone would be seen by a CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant). Maybe you mean a CNP (Clinical Nurse Practitioner) or ANP or any other level of Nurse Practitioner or maybe a Physician Assistant (PA).
Oddly enough, i go to student health and I get a doctor to see me. (yep, real MD). Same with employee health and with the emergency room … no socialized medicine and no insurance … btw, health insurance is not communist/socialist but mandated health insurance regardless of ability to afford and the decision as to whether someone contributes to society enough to be worthy of health care probably is since it includes up to six year olds and over retirement age. I love inflamatory commentary on a cartoon page …
My eldest was like this … actually, it was the nurse that set her off … since the nurse gave the shots, this says a lot for the memory of a six month old.

Mimi seems to have a slight ‘hang up’ about the actual exam!

Mini is topless! Call the prudes! This is a family newspaper! And assorted other reactions observant idiots may make.

Oh my gosh, someone actually drew a female doctor (even if it is a pediatrician which is stereotypical), thank you!!

Just peel her off my back and you can examine her. Sorry she is so hard core about it.

Good luck with that surgical procedure…

Be calm, Mimi! Just ignore the giant hypodermic needle!

Just because poor Mimi is at that age where every visit to the pediatrician seems to include another vaccination shot or three . . .
