I have babysat for my sister, and some their offspring. Also for friends, and lazy mothers that didnt like changing diapers.I think I have changed more diapers than the average father. So here is my paean to motherhood. You will smile, I’m sure!
I offer for your consideration, And ask your toleration For a FATAL SITUATION…..Life is, you know, a fatal situationBrought about result of human recreationIn a form of entertainment called copulationWhich is [racticed all across this great nation>Now this can lead to a lengthy period of gestation, Which I’m sure must seem of endless durationAnd often impedes one’s ambulation,And has been known to cause consternationWhen it happens without expectationAnd is known to cause indignation.
Now it takes a pair of like inclination,With a little dab of lubrication,Together with a peoiod of mutual dedicationThat leads to an ecstatic sensation. This is folled by incubation, Then the onset of lactationWhen another is added to the new generation,Giving rise to justificationFor much celebrationAccompanyed by great admirationFor the fruit of procreation,And, of course….. A new fatal situation.
Hi Villagers: A nice thing happened last evening. A friend came to dinner. After dinner he noticed that the lazy sisan under my TV wasn’t level and the TV on it was in great danger of tipping. On top of my TV is a smaller lazy susan, a DVD-VCR combo and on to[p of that a multi-system DVD player. I knew it was dangerous, but couldn’t tackle the job of re-arranging it myself.
With my friend’s assistance plus my roommate’s brother, he took everything apart, leveled the lazy susan and behinf the TV I found my Uyghur DVD about the Uyghur national poetess that I had bought when I was in Xinjiang province (my avatar). I was SO happy! I had been looking for it for a year and decided to make an extra copy of it tonight.
Went to a great restaurant yesterday evening. Some friends took us out to celebrate our new house. It’s called the Herb Farm and it’s out in the Big Thicket area surrounded by a lake with alligators and snapping turtles. And the food was scrumptious!
Wow……..everyone has a reason to celebrate! Woo Hoo……So……I guess my celebration is that I slept for 6 1/2 hours…Woo Hoo!.And, it did snow during the night! More Woo Hoo’s!.As always, Slim, your poetry amazes me! Keep sharing.
@SS ,gotta meet you sometime, hopefully at the first annual villagers reunion. Great poetry:-)
