Actually, Ruthie has a good point. Aristotle was married so he could have found out whether women had a different number of teeth than men, by asking her to open her mouth and counting. But the Greek philosophers weren’t like modern scientists who try to find out things by observation and experimentation, that would have required manual labor, which was only fit for slaves. No, they thought you could figure things like this out just by logic. Maybe, he figured, since women are generally smaller than men, they would also have fewer teeth.
