Panels 2 and 3 make me wonder if “tucker” had any meaning regarding kid’s attitudes. None I can think of, just “all tuckered out” (tired). I love Ruthie’s comments today on the “dear” fence of grandpa’s buddy…
@NightG, I see that’s how Joe understood it too, but Grandpa’s meanings are usually something else than what the kids think, just as today referred to a deer fence. Blouses and shirts in the past were always tucked in (even made longer on side and back to stay in better). It was still difficult to stay tucked. And it looks strange to me when I see a blouse that extends longer than the jacket over it. But nothing is as bad as being waited on by a young person whose tattoo shows when they access low shelves;-(

I hate that too! are you ever tempted to go up the the kid and pull them down??
