Yes, it is surprising how many people use those computers all the time. I usually pre-arrange to pick up books that are out of print or too expensive to buy. Only thing that bothers me is that there is no way to renew books borrowed from other libraries (my nearest is just a small county branch, but has a whole wall of computer desks in the room where I’ve picked up my tomes. I’ve never gone to their stacks, so no idea what books they have. I have my own library at home – art books in the LR and all my medieval studies in the family room, some specialty bird, craft and flower books in the kitchen.
Exactly Timberwolf789. But ya know, I don’t think many people know that libraries now rent out movies, music, games. When I tell friends of mine, part of the generation that mainly used libraries in elementary school, they’re completely surprised.

I hope her library is like mine, which rents movies, music, video games, and computer games as well as books.

And the twenty-odd computers are busy all the time.

I wouldn’t worry, you have at least 10 to 20 years before that happens.

Consider this, the average library holds 10,000 books. At 10 dollars a books that would cost 100,000 dollars to download the library to your ereader.

In this economy, you’d think the place that provides you with free books, movies, and music would be flooded with business.
