Rip Haywire by Dan Thompson for November 21, 2011
Transcript:
Dutch: Rive Jack is gone, as far as we know, and on the bright side we reunited Bliss with her husband. Rip: Do we ever win, Dutch? Dutch: Sure, kid, we helped a lot of people, and I made a lot of money while you did all the work. Rip: I'll need some of that money to get home. Dutch: Tell you what - that holidays are comin' - how about I come for a visit - I'll even buy the tickets. Rip: Then I did win, pop! Hug! Dutch: I'm deducting this from what I owe you, boy!

For something that started out as a send up of the old adventure strips, this comic sure has a lot of heart. Great job Mr. Thompson!

Get used to it, Dutch. In your next adventure, you’ll be pounced on by a young man who will finally have the “Grandpa” he’s always wanted.

Our Man Thompson always knows how to blend hilarity with heart. I too am looking forward to R.J. meeting Grandpa Dutch!

Has Dutch ever met his adopted grandson? I hope it goes better than when RJ met his grandmother.

Dan Thompson, I do believe Rip Haywire I one of the best strips I’ve followed in a long time. =) It’s sorta like a really good book. Keeps you interested where other strips tend to get boring. Thanks!!!
