This one is really sad. I’ll bet far too many homes look like this on Thanksgiving.
After watching the Packers beat the Detroit lions, I for one will be cooking a big Turkey dinner for my extended family and we will glut ourselves on traditional foods like Yams, Stuffing, Squash, Cranberry relish, and of course pumpkin pie.
turkey thys, small ham (bone gets used in soup later), green bean casserole, sweet potato (not canned), home made cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie with vanilla ice cream.
@Tony-when will the winner be shown? I tryed to encourage a friend from other strips here (GoComics) to participate because she has the best comments on the ones she’s on (but she has not read this).
I already roasted more turkey and I have a little cooking baby pumpkin that I may do just for Thursday (and save extras). I cooked a mixture of great veg today with chicken pieces for flavor and pureed leeks, brocolli, cellery and cress for more winter meals (froze the rest after a great supper). I have 3 soups now in the freezer that can be ready in minutes to warm me up on these slightly chilly days, and pumpkin will make 4.

I’m doing ham this year, youngest son’s request, which is much easier than a turkey. It will just be my immediate family.
