Danae: Wow... there sure seem to be a lot of angry people everywhere. Joe: That happens in tough economic times, Danae. Danae: So how does all that complaining in public help? Joe: If enough people gather in protest, they can become a political force and evoke change. Danae: YES! Joe: And something tells me I'm going to regret saying that...

It’s telling that Danae thinks that this is a good idea.

If she joins up with Calvin, maybe they can either get later bed time hours, or replacement fathers.

My son is 25, and I still find myself deeply regretting things I say each day.And no, a vow of silence isn’t a practical solution, either.

Funny how those who advocate Change almost never specify change for the better or for the worse! And we know Danae’s changes would be good for no-one but her…

Usually when we do get change, it’s for the worse. Certainly nothing to look forward to.

Danae would have to be an “occupy” of one. Is it time for her Dad to get some pepper spray?

I’m also surprised that Danae is going for this.

When you’re comfortable, change is as likely as not to be bad. When you’re not, change is as likely as not to be good. When a critical mass of the uncomfortable is reached, change may be forced, or might be forced down, if the comfortable have the force.

@DogsniffHum… Doesn’t seem like much has changed in 45 years, has it?

Does Joe even realize his fiendish daughter’s efforts will have about as much effect as 99% of all protests? Politicos only care if it hits them where it really hurts: the wallet. Otherwise she might as well try to lobby to a brick wall, something which would likely pass an IQ test with higher results than any politician…

One way to reduce the size of a mob is to invent some cause to attract some of their less committed followers to go and join. Create enough of them and the original mob will disintegrate.

High Priest, yeah, but if the polls show that a majority of the people agree with and support a given protest, you’d be surprised at what can go down..

Within, without, the constant theme is change, But different doesn’t mean that it’s not the same…
