No, she just wants no one to interfere so the launch can proceed unimpeded. Convincing Petey that there’s not enough time will buy her enough seconds so that eventually there WON’T be enough time.
(To the rocket on the pad) To the rocket on the pad I go flying to the top From intentions so bad I had to put a stop To Blackie’s looking for something To revenge what I lost But too many have died And it’s too great a cost Even though I know so many have died I’ve gone out on the mission and followed her lead I’ve tried to help, but she won’t be denied And I am finally done with what she’s looking for To the rocket in the base I must get to the controls Blackie’s heart’s out of place She’d kill off so many souls If Blackie’s looking for something It may be her who is lost I can’t remember being human But her humanity’s tossed I don’t know why I’m on the mission tonight But now I’m tired of seeing her kill many more I hope that Endtown isn’t ended this night For that is not what I’ve been looking for To the missile with her gift I will stop it if I can It’ll cause a major rift What was I like as a man? If she’s been searching for someone She thinks I used to be Can it only have been Someone no longer me? Someone I cannot be… In the mission I am free I’m not sure about my life after this God knows I’ve little practice at being a man If I’m dead by her fire, I died when she’s the giver Of a gift that I must give back if I can At the rocket bearing doom I’ll go right into the door There are circuits in the room And there won’t be any more It’ll end in destruction Come apart at the seams If it takes me along I’ll stop having bad dreams Of the mission here tonight =|====/ Level Head Vote for Endtown 2.0 And for Doc Rat, too The Endtown Forum

♫ Everybody run… The doom-homing machine’s got a gun! ♫Meanwhile, Flask whispers, “I did it… for Johnny…” Johnny? Who’s Johnny? Is Petey Johnny? There used to be a rat named Johnny, but she shot him so it couldn’t be him…
No problem! At 2 minutes per week, he’s got all the time in the world… ;). Go for it Petey, John Wayne would be proud! Of course, let’s hope this is “In Harm’s Way”, or “The Green Berets”; not “Sands of Iwo Jima”, “The Cowboys”, or “The Alamo”.
This is all well and good, but what about Endtown? The destruction of that rocket is really about preventing the Topsiders from launching the satellite that would expose Endtown to them!
On an unrelated note, what propels Petey? Is it just his wheels spinning like a propeller? Because that would NOT be a very quick method of transportation.
Whoa, that guy is tough. I actually expected him to be, thinking of how he took the news of being a brain in a box. But the more important thing now is that Flask, in all her narrow-minded planning, brought herself into a situation where she fears about a loved one – because of the bomb she set up herself. I bet the first valve for her fear will be Wally and Holly …
@DADOF3 – that’s pretty much what I’m expecting too. I know Aaron is a master of suspense and throws more loops than a fly fisherman, but I’m gonna make a prediction here, one that I hope doesn’t turn out to be true because I like Petey:
I predict that Petey will arrive at the rocket and attempt to destroy it with the zero gun. The gun won’t work for him, so he’ll be forced to destroy it the only way he can – by ramming the control panel with his own robotic body, thus sacrificing himself. Flash will hold Linda accountable because she’ll feel that Petey died because of her kid, and she’ll go ballistic. Wally and Holly will do their best to defend Linda but will be beaten. Linda, whom Flask doesn’t see as a threat, will feel gratitude toward Wally, Holly and Petey, and attack her while her attention is focused on the cat and mouse couple. Flask will then either be stunned (by Wally’s gun in Linda’s hands) or she’ll be driven away from the PT…
Hopefully… HOPEFULLY, if this pans out as I predicted, Petey will come flying in from the explosion safe and sound…
“Off we go into the wild blue (grayish) yaunder ( for some reason that word is not in my spell check, does anyone know how to spell it without downloading the song itself?)Petey has a great deal of facial expression which makes him more likeable and interesting. Back to Wally and Holly, What the heck are they doing>???Should be hollering loudly. Aren’t they in the fire site? You are doing goooood work Asran.
Regarding how Petey flies or shows facial expressions – it is called ‘suspension of disbelief’ and ‘artistic license’. Frankly, if we can accept that people can mutate into anthro’s, especially in the time that it took Linda to mutate, or that the topsiders have guns that can vaporize people, then it really isn’t that much of a stretch to accept a flying robot with facial expressions.

She keeps forgetting he can fly. Definitely cuts down transit times.

Didn’t I say that four minutes was way too long to announce evil plans? Tsk, Flask needs to read the Evil Overlord list. :)
