Ummmm…Dan??? By any Chance have you been Watching Movies like OH, I dunno..“Baby Blues” or even “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” lately?! and Don’t think feraminute that I don’t see what’s REALLY Goin’ on Here :-) as Pre-Holiday Cliffhangers Goes…This one is a DOOZY! Anyway, Since it IS almost Christmas, Holiday HUGPOUNCESZZZ for You and Yours as well as all the Usual Suspects out there COUGH Dorian! COUGH Now I’m off to light a Candle for all our Military Personnel who cannot be Home for The Holiday. Have a Good ‘un Y’all. :-)

..I was thinking that it was Cobra whom should be zipping her jacket up(or down:-),but it looks like Rip’s the one with cold feet and they have struck his whole body..

There goes this strip. Everyone knows when the hero/heroine marries the mate, the adventure is over.

Dan is a good writer of adventure AND satire. This is going to give him much more material to work with. I think of Rip as a strange combination of Conservative and Liberal. He has both old fashioned values AND modern perspectives. This move suits his personality.

I suspect Cobra will string him along for a while just for the fun of watching him squirm. But she will say yes.

They fit together much better than Brangolina.

Hmmm, “Cobra Haywire.” Yeah, that has a pretty good ring to it. Heh.

Love the reference to the hokey Jared ad. You go Rip.

These last two panels are the funniest and sweetest I’ve seen in RIP HAYWIRE so far! And hey, I agree with the folks who say the strip will NOT jump the shark if they tie the knot! Did people get tired of Nick and Nora Charles in THE THIN MAN? Heck NO! If anything, if Our Man Thompson keeps being clever, I think we readers will find that, as Rip might say, family life is the most dangerest game! :-) (As a longtime happily married couple, hubby and I can vouch for this! :-))

And Veridian, my friend, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and I’m sending you an assortment of tasty candies to get rid of that COUGH! :-) HUGPOUNCESZZZ to you and all at Casa di Veridian, as always!

Cobra and Rip HAVE had a serious relationship, at least since they all moved out to Big Whoop together. I think this is not only the next logical step, but will also keep Dan from having to draw Rib outside the covers.
