    The rock candy I remember could just as well be stones, as it had no flavor at all (not even vanilla). At least the butterscotch I made last week was flavored with apple cider vinegar and butter.

    I think the candy in the old days tasted better. They didn’t scrimp on the ingredients like they do today. I used to buy it for a penny a piece back then. I don’t remember no rocks though.

    I finally found my fav christmas candy, online… ribbon candy. It was always stuck to my grandmas candy dish… year round and came out in one big clump… but it was the best danged candy I ever had… $20 a pound now… probably doesnt taste the same either… bummer
