Just one year I worked at a place like that. I started working there in October or so, the office gal took up the collection for the bosses and told me what $$ we were giving (which she spent on them) and they gave us less than that amount. Another place where I worked almost 10 years before moving from cold climate gave me the biggest bonus ever because they did a very expert business and shared the wealth. I received around $3000 as my Christmas bonus, so I finished paying a car loan from my father and bought a lovely fur coat on 1/2 price sale (around &1300) and alterations for this short lady (sleeve length went to a matching hat).
