Sam is so smart, insightful, sweet, innocent, etc., makes me wonder how BD and Boopsie could gin enough of the “right stuff” (ie, DNA) to make her! (Nothing against either of them.) “No!” she says re the “Sarah Palin” doll — in an insight worthy of Shakespeare!

Aw nuts, I have not heard almost anything about “her” in weeks and now GT stirs things up again. The trolls on both side will be going on and on. Just let her slip quietly back into obscurity where she belongs.

Wait till Sam’s an adult and those dolls might be worth real money as collectibles. Sarah, most of all. After all, how will anyone ever believe such a person existed otherwise?

Do you know what a Warren Harding doll would be worth now? The political memorabilia collector of thirty years from now will want that doll: but I hope you kept the original box it came it, too. That’s important. How ironic that the money we put in our piggy banks as kids, or even into the real banks and left there, is not worth as much today as the toys we “wasted” our money on — if we had kept the toys in perfect and complete condition with the original boxes. But then, the nostalgia market for the toys of the 1950s and 1960s, and even earlier, may never exist for the toys of the 1990s and 2000s.

Like baseball cards of pre 1970’s vintage. They are worth something, but the baseball cards of the 80s on won’t, because of the amount collected and the cases of them just packed away. supply and demand.

Just checked Wikipedia. Sam was born in 1992, so in Real Time she’d be hitting 20 this coming year…

It seems obvious that Trudeau intends to bring Sarah Palin jokes back into his strip for perhaps the duration of the Presidential nomination process. Surely he has his reasons for wanting to use the doll icon — to serve his interests as a vehicle in scoring political points. Perhaps we should start voting online here whether or not he should do so. I think the chances are non-zero that he reads these “feedback” comments to see how his strips are “going over”.  My philosophy is “Let Trudeau be Trudeau”. He wants to use the doll to make statements about human nature, politics, etc., that are also funny. Others offer rather deep insights, often ironic, into human nature without necessarily intending humor. This is his way of making a living.  Question: Should Trudeau bring back the Sarah Palin doll icon into his strip arcs or not? I vote YES. How do you vote?

Let’s see. If everyone kept their new toys in perfect and complete condition in their original boxes they would have LITTLE value since supply would undoubtedly exceed demand. I’d pay bupkis for a Warren Harding doll, and how much would a mossback who wanted one today pay if he knew there were plenty of Harding dolls available.

The mere mention of Sarah Palin activates the Messiah loving socialists! They are the ones who keep her name in front of the public. We conservative Democrats (yes, there are still a few of us around) wish we had a hottie like Sarah. Hillary? Big Sis? Chelsea? .
