The Democrats had the majority in the House in 2009 and 2010, during which time they also held 60 and then 59 Senate seats. They have no excuse for not having passed a budget when they were in control. It takes only 51 votes to force a vote in the Senate on budget reconciliation measures. They used that power to pass the final health care bill but not an actual budget. Go figure.
I’m VERY disappointed with Obama, and ex-green beret that I am, worried a LOT about the wrongwingers in YOUR party. The only smart Republican candidate this cycle is Huntsman…come on, Grand Old Party, the rest of them are pretty…lame. You CAN do better.
