Where’s Dogsniff? This strip has been posted for several minutes already, and I don’t see any sign of him! You don’t suppose…….

it’s not the last time that Calvin will be asking one of his parents to give him a lift.

Hi somebodyshort. Yeah, Dogsniff is fine – I was only kidding. Sorry to frighten your avatar.There has been a problem with the counter in recent weeks, reading one number too high at the beginning, and sometimes several numbers too high later in the day. Can’t figure it out. Maybe it doesn’t always reduce itself when somebody deletes a comment. Or maybe someone has sabotaged the counter. Perhaps we are victims of counter terrorism.At any rate, now when I see the counter reading too high, it’s sort of like a memorial to the Dogsniff crisis, from when his comments existed but weren’t showing up.

Sure, why not. Seems like the right thing to do…….much, much later, say when your 35 years old or so. That is, if you still want it then.

Don’t look now but the Little Squirt took his snow shoes of. Mom must’ve gotten through to him.

Climbing up the hill is healthy, makes you strong and builts the charakter!!

After all this, I forget was the comic was about. Oh, yeah. That ski lift idea is going down.

@Richard S. Russell: Perhaps sometimes the counter works properly when a comment is deleted, and sometimes it doesn’t. It may be lacking a certain amount of …………………………… counter intelligence.

When I was a kid (to many decades ago) the only ‘hill’ was on a golf course and even back then I knew it wasn’t that big. But 15 feet was higher than anything else we could walk to.

Consider it “taken under advisement.”

How would you readers like a son such as Calvin?

… he might be a handful but he’s pretty cute.

Dad should respond that the backyard already HAS a ski lift. It’s short, wears tennis shoes and is called “Two Legs”! Calvin should be grateful that he has two legs that work…

I miss Florida and all my friends there.

I remember making suggestions like that to my dad when I was about Calvin’s age — not ski lifts (not much need for them in Miami, FL) but other stuff.As for hills, I grew up on top of the second highest hill in Dade County (that’s where Miami is). We were a whole 19 feet above sea level.

A very weird thing has happened.

A strange old lady has moved into my house.

I have no idea who she is, where she came

from, or how she got in. I certainly didn’t invite her.

All I know is that one day she wasn’t there,

and the next day she was.

.

She’s very clever.

She manages to keep out of sight for the most part,

but whenever I pass a mirror,I catch a glimpse of her there,

and when I look into a mirror directly to check my appearance,

suddenly she’s hogging the whole thing,completely obliterating my gorgeous face and body.

It’s very disconcerting.

Another thing I wish she’d stop messing with my files and the papers on my desk.

I can’t find a thing any more.

This is particularly hard to deal with becauseI’m extremely neat and organized.

But she manages to jumble everything upso nothing is where it’s supposed to be.

Be up and running on May 15th!

Get Hobbes to pull you up the hill as you sit on the toboggan…you could bribe him with a can of tuna fish….

Calvin might have better luck if he aims lower . . . maybe he should ask for a ropetow instead of a ski lift. It’s not as much fun but it’s probably a whole heck of a lot cheaper!
