@eli jeas: When my parents died I found not one, not two, but five different fake trees cluttering up their basement. My Dad didn’t like the big ones he had bought over the years, or he found a great deal on them. He owned one little one he took to work and put up in his department every year and two others that would sit on the living room table.
The old dried up tree could be used in a veggie garden to have green beans or peas grow up on. Any climbing veggie or Flower vine would love having a recycles tree. JUST another thought!
There are tree removal bags. Simply a VERY oversized plastic bag. Put it under the stand when you put up the tree. When you take it down, one person lifts the tree, another moves the stand. Then pull up the bag and out the door.I do have a fake tree now, but not sure it’s much easier than a real one. That box is heavy going back up into the attic.
One person lift the tree? Only if there is weightlifter in the house. As to the artificial tree – we keep the box in the basement. We have one that has a top and 6 pie shaped sections below it that hang from a ring. We can leave the sections individually covered in lights. Each section is carried downstairs to the box individually, with the top and pole mechanics stored on top of the other sections. No need to carry the entire tree at once or carry the box.

He could have done a better clean up job than that.

They probably wouldn’t dry out so much if she didn’t put them up six months ahead of time.

Guess they never learned the trick of wrapping it in a sheet before trying to move it, huh?

Time for Mr. Hoover to clean up another Christmas mess.

Fake trees don’t have the nice smell of real trees. They should buy a rooted live tree and plant it after Chrismas. JUST a thought!
