How could Norma ever penetrate his secret identity? He’s wearing a blue suit. Superhero identities are completely safe with the addition of a pair of glasses.

Kevin is doing this like all the commedies of error from the earliest plays which used that device. We need suspended belief that the lovers cannot recognise each other.
