My 8 year old Focus Hatchback gets me and my stuff where I have to go, even over some of the rough terrain where friends go camping and my rugged garden cart folds into the back to go the rest of the way;-)
SusanS, one of our cars is a ‘95 Saturn which we bought new. It’s been well-maintained so it may well last a lot more years. No one wants the Dodge Challenger from Vanishing Point (1971 original version)?

Larry, mine is a ’98 wagon, bought in 2009 with 117,000 miles already on it, and it has a lot more left in it, I truly hope!
Raspberry, if that were “flat", radial tires wouldn’t work. Mine look lower than that, and my mechanic says I have to quit comparing them to the big ol’ tires on a “real” station wagon. But I love my little Saturn!
and Konrad, um… you might want to try TinyUrl.comsome time.
It’s not just guys who love their cars. In the summer, I drive my 68 Firebird convertible. I could get to the same place in a Prius or a Smart car, but I don’t think it would be half as much fun. The only thing that drives me crazy is my husband, and yes it is a short drive. Very short.

I don’t understand how some men identify with their cars, if it gets you there, that’s what matters.
