Slim deserves more credit than he gets. There are a heckuva a lot more “Slims” out there in the world than other neer do wells.

For church, I have two places to stash my cell:

Hey, maybe it’s Gretchen calling her dad to remind him she still exists! Maybe she’s telling him she got married! Maybe she’s telling him he has another grandchild on the way. Maybe she’ll just say, “Put Mom on…”

So, I’ll ask the rest of you, If you don’t like the character why do you read the strip?

It’s one thing to have your phone ring in church – this is expected, occasionally someone forgot to turn his phone off, but one time, there was a church member who talked on the phone during the service and everybody could hear him! It was outright rude!

@Mona WarnerI don’t hate Slim but I can get sick of his type of humor and would like a little variety. The new story line with this mystery ex-con is off to a good start.

Why are you trying to offend other people by degrading their beliefs? Just because someone doesn’t agree with your opinions doesn’t make them wrong.

These days, the returning shepherd would just tweet or post a status update to facebook…. then his friends and neighbors would all “like” it.

As a pastor, gotta’ LOVE it!

Interesting serendipity about this Sunday’s strip. Our preacher had his cell phone go off during his sermon, but actually it was staged to make a point in the sermon.
