No sensible adult likes snow unless it has to do with their livlihood. Back in IL I would shovel a pathway to the street from my door and a space for my car (the village did the streets and public walks). I was having trouble with others parking right in front of my shoveled walk, so I’d have to park and walk to the corner. Very few garages in my area. I moved to Phoenix and there is often pretty snow a few hours north, but I only go to the “high country” in the summer heat. The ski lifts are a lovely ride in the summer ;-D

Do any parts of the country have real snow cover like this right now, and not just slush?

When you only get snow about once a year, it is a wonderful occurrence.

We in SW PA have yet to have an inch of snow. We’re having a mild winter. It was 54 degrees today. But it’s going to cool off.
