Now you all know why Captain Janeway always hated time travel — after all, Grandfather Paradox knows when you’ve been naughty!

Nothing does help, homework must be done, it’s a hard life!! Sigh!!!!

He should shift into Spaceman Spiff mode and fly off to do battle with the Zorg aliens of planet Grmbff.

Why does Professor Paradox only hang with Ben Tenison? Why can’t he stop by and explain to Calvin why his plan would fail?

Or heck why not the Doctor? Surely his Tardis could visit a comic….

Trying to get out of doing the homework doesn’t work. There’s no future in it!

Larry Niven wrote (to paraphrase a bit) that if time travel is possible and you can chnge history then the only stable timeline is one where nobody invents a time machine.

This provides an paradoxical dilemma. Calvin goes into the future to get a homework assignment he never will do. Or does Calvin do the homework so 6:30 Calvin can pick up an assignment that hasn’t been done that? Apologies if this mind boggles some people.

That presupposes that Calvin does his homework in ANY of the possible realities.

I love when Watterson draws Calvin as having a little round head and barely open mouth in panel three (pajamas Calvin).

Calvin should attempt a slingshot around the sun. Maybe 2031 Calvin would be more agreeable… and responsible!

Those who do not remember the future will be condemned to repeat it.

Maybe he should go back in time and steal someone’s homework

Pure genius. Proves that time travel is a lot more justifiable than character evolution.

My future self always had my homework done for me. Maybe Calvin just didn’t go far enough ahead.

The Hobbes seem to get along better than the Calvins,I wonder why ?

In High School (1958) I explained to my teachers; when I’m allowed to do my work from home in school, I’ll do my work from school at home. I spent a lot of time in study hall (detention) where I got my school work done. (Win-Win)

Calvin is finding out he has no future in time travel.

This storyline is getting too…too……existentualistic for me.

And to think it all got started with a cardboard box.

At this point, Calvin just needs to double down and get to work on the assignment.
