I am a crafter. I used to place “PLEASE DO TOUCH” signs at my booth – I wanted folks to feel the pieces I created. When they read the signs as they approached, potential customers would put their hands in their pockets or behind their backs. Their minds-eye automatically added the word “DON’T”.

To this day I put my hands in my pockets when around things in stores and wherever. I had to laugh at my brother when I saw him do the same thing for we are both in our 60’s. MOTHER tought us well.

This joke falls flat beyond belief. I’ve been to a ton of functions for kids that had “touch this” signs and kids were all over it no matter what it was. Boring or not. There grubby little paws were all over the things. I still love this strip. though.
