John Daker is obviously a false Christian. No True Christian™ would ever take a Godly song like “Christ the Lord is Risen Today” and put it into a medley with “That’s Amore.”
Some fascinating pix in the blog of late. I’m not sure where in Naples that picture was taken, but based on my 18 months in that amazing, beautiful, mad, insane city, I’d say Universal Studios. I never saw any place so immaculate while I was there…
I know. that you know what you think I said but I don’t know if you know that what you know is not what I thought. But I still believe that what you believe is valid as far as you know.
I am happy now that George calls on my bedchamber less frequently than of old. As it is, I now endure but two calls a week, and when I hear his steps outside my door I lie down on my bed, close my eyes, open my legs, and think of England. – Apocryphal statement attributed to Lady Alice Hillingdon.
What a lovely photo. He’s obviously using the young girl as a model for Morticia… I thought at first he was drawing his famous first, “May I Borrow A Cup of Cyanide,” but the background is wrong. I have almost every Addams cartoon ever published, and I can’t put my finger on this one – unless it was an early draft.
Teresa, you’re killin’ me here. I used to have several of those Lionel cars. My favorite was the milk car that had a little dude pop out and dispense milk cans at a loading dock.
The symbols from the Egyptian election were chosen at random to represent different candidates and parties. They were for the benefit of Egyptian voters who couldn’t read; according to the State Department’s website, adult literacy in Egypt is only 71.4%. The other 28.6% voted by choosing the ballot’s icon for their candidate.
I could have gone all day without seeing “penile” and “cancer” side by side anywhere, much less FB (where I go to escape reality, not have it bitch slap Mr Happy).
I remember from elections in Indonesia that the symbols are to help illiterate voters. Sometimes the candidates will even include an impassioned ‘Vote 1 Soccer Ball!’ or whatever in their speeches. But surely that ruler was born to rule?
I could not, for the life of me, figure out what was going on with that ear picture. It then struck me that this was the result of a failed gauge, where the skin was stretched too far and fell apart because of insufficient vascularization.
Fortunately for the individual, plastic surgery to repair the damage was fairly minor, and successful.
I am annoyed with Google Blogger’s new way of handling images. For example, I would have loved to have been able to enlarge that Volkswagen poster that’s on the blog. But when you click on it, all you get is the same sized image, but in a shadowbox.
