I don’t see why you can’t slowly make the stilts shorter, about an inch per week until you are down to your normal height.
I really hope he has more than one pair of long pants, or he will be doing laundry every night.

lol, reminds me of that dilbert cartoon where there was a guy with a block butt, and he appeared tall in the interview and was hired because of it.
but seriously, laughs aside, this does bring up a true lesson about making yourself look better in your interview than you really are…
