“Sit, Red Rover and stay! Let us peer into the mysteries of the sea…”
Panel 2: Whirr! Whirr!
Panel 3: Deep in the sea, robot eyes scan Doctor Dark’s sunken submarine – and robot ears record the ghastly beating of his evil heart -Thup-thup! Thup-thup! Whirr! Whirr!
Panel 4: — as Red Rover hovers overhead.“Very clear signals!”
“Not a breach in that vessel anywhere! She’s sealed up tight!”
Panel 5: “Kamkaze crew, eh? Dutifully put their tub down — then settled in to starve….”
“Or swallowed poison perhaps — All for the greater glory of Doctor Dark’s immortality…”
Panel 6: “But I don’t understand why the Russians are sitting so far off the hulk.”
“You’re right, Admiral! You’d think they’d be right on top of her!”
Panel 7:
Panel 8: “Wow! That answers that! Who wants to get near that big boy?”
Now I can see why Amelia constantly wears dark glasses; Apparently, with ‘her eyes’ she’s quite sensitive to normal light-level situations, for which, from me, she gets a “pass”…Along with everyone else, I cast a curse, a pox and a hex on the Powers That Be that don’t ‘allow’ the magnifying option on this fine work. Fume, snort, mumble, etc.

Totally useless as usual—without a “zoom” version the resolution is so low there’s no way for me to read any of the words.

yeh, I have the means to enlarge the screen shot, but that doesn’t make the words intelligible , might as well be in another language.

I missed the caption under the screenshot of the Russian submersible in panel 6. Just couldn’t see it well enough.
