I asked GoComics why Annie has no zoom. Thier response follows – "Only high-resolution comics are “zoomable.” I’m sorry for any inconvenience. We are adding more and more hi-res comics to the site as we can.

    Sincerely,GoComics Support"

Why so sensitive to the union joke? It was the funniest thing in the strip!

Did Daddy Warbucks like the unions? Did Harold Gray?

In answer to the constant questions about the readability of the Annie strips: it SHOULD be obvious to everyone that when these strips were originally scanned from the hard copies, they did not use a high enough resolution scan. Yes, what they’ve got can be enlarged, but all you will see is a bunch of enlarged blobs. Live with it!

Marvee – Apparently Warbucks liked the unions in the strip pre-FDR. After the New Deal, not so much. (At least this is what I glean from the intro to Vol 1 of IDW’s Complete Orphan Annie series.)
