Does the policy pay off if you accidentally live?

Yeah, Ma has her eye on Burl, that’s for sure! That’s why her “long-time companion” every night is a S&W .38. There’s no love lost there. She told Joy years ago that he was worthless, and even she didn’t know how right she was.

    Good morning everyone.

This reminds me of the punch-line of an old joke where a rather undesirable individual was found hanging from a tree with a blindfold on, his hands tied behind his back, a bullet in his head, and a knife stuck in his back. The sheriff and deputy are talking at the scene, and the sheriff remarks, ‘Worst case of suicide I ever saw!’

    Hello Crustwoodians.

Wecome to Ma’s world…. where your son-in-law thinks the idea of doing you in is funny, and your insurance agent. Will Leech, otherwise known as “Bob,”makes house calls.

X_Tech, I think in this case, that’s what it’s for.

And I think “no expiration date” on an “accidental life insurance policy” is meant to be a pun.

So is “You’re good to go”, which could mean your policy is OK….or it’s OK to die now.

Even the adoring Joy is shocked now and then by her dreamboat’s blatant antagonism to her dear sweet mother. Or, well, to Ma, anyway.

Is that Joy or Verla in the baby picture?

“Staring is Caring”? I just hope someone reading her shirt from curiosity isn’t interpreted by Joy as staring. In this case Staring is daring.

    Good Morning Crustwood!

G-morning all! I waited until morning to write a clear message to the management regarding their ban of yet another poster friend (Dogsniff knows, though I think he only posted on Priceless).

I know the whole “expiration date” line has led to a few snarky comments, but life insurance policies can have expiration dates…they’re called term policies (they are only in effect for a certain term chosen by the purchaser of the insurance), as opposed to whole and universal policies which are active your entire life (or in some cases until you turn 100 years old) as long as you keep paying your premiums.

Picture is Zippy The Pinhead—his strip used to run next to The Dinette Set in the Chicago Reader back in the day.
